Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of FuneralTrade.ie, including classified adverts, supplier profiles, messaging and other marketplace services.
1. About FuneralTrade.ie
FuneralTrade.ie is an online marketplace and trade directory serving the funeral profession in Ireland. The website allows private sellers, trade sellers and suppliers to advertise vehicles, equipment, services and businesses, and allows visitors to browse listings and contact advertisers.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, FuneralTrade.ie provides the platform only. We are not the seller, buyer, manufacturer, supplier, agent or broker in transactions arranged between users.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using this website, creating an account, submitting an advert, claiming or creating a supplier profile, or purchasing a service from us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you should not use the relevant services.
You must have the legal capacity and authority required to enter into any transaction or submit content on behalf of yourself or a business.
3. Accounts and account security
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your login details secure and for activity carried out through your account. You should notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
We may suspend or restrict an account where reasonably necessary to protect the website, other users or the integrity of the marketplace.
4. Classified adverts and supplier profiles
Advertisers are responsible for ensuring that all information, photographs, prices, descriptions, contact details and claims in their adverts or supplier profiles are accurate, lawful and not misleading. You must have the right to advertise any vehicle, item, service, image, logo or other material you submit.
FuneralTrade.ie may review, edit, refuse, suspend or remove content that is inaccurate, unlawful, inappropriate, duplicated, misleading, infringes third-party rights or does not meet the purpose or standards of the website.
Publication of an advert or supplier profile does not amount to an endorsement, verification, warranty or recommendation by FuneralTrade.ie.
5. Buyers and enquiries
Users should carry out their own checks before purchasing a vehicle, equipment or service. This may include checking ownership, identity, condition, mileage, service history, specifications, documentation, finance status and any other matter relevant to the proposed transaction.
Any negotiation, inspection, payment, delivery, contract or dispute between a buyer and advertiser is between those parties. FuneralTrade.ie is not responsible for completing or enforcing a transaction between users.
6. Prices, fees and payments
Prices and durations for paid FuneralTrade.ie services are those displayed on the website at the time of purchase, unless a specific promotional offer applies. We may change future pricing or packages from time to time. Changes will not retrospectively alter a service already purchased unless agreed with you.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Their own terms and privacy practices may also apply. Any statutory rights you have as a consumer are not excluded or restricted by these terms.
7. Supplier listings and Trade Network status
Supplier profiles and Trade Network designations are intended to help users identify businesses operating within the funeral trade. A listing, badge, paid membership or featured position does not mean that FuneralTrade.ie guarantees or certifies a supplier's products, services, financial standing, regulatory status or suitability.
Suppliers remain solely responsible for their business activities, representations, quotations, contracts and compliance with applicable laws and professional requirements.
8. Sponsored advertising
The website may contain sponsored banners, promoted placements and other paid advertising. Sponsored content may be identified as such. The presence of an advertisement does not constitute an endorsement of the advertiser or its products or services by FuneralTrade.ie.
9. Prohibited use
You must not use FuneralTrade.ie to publish unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory, abusive or infringing material; impersonate another person or business; distribute malicious code; attempt unauthorised access; scrape or misuse website data; interfere with the operation of the service; or use the platform for any activity that breaches applicable law.
10. User content and intellectual property
You retain ownership of content you submit where you own the relevant rights. By submitting content for publication, you grant FuneralTrade.ie a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, resize, display and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, promote and improve the website and your listing.
The FuneralTrade.ie name, branding, website design, software and original website content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws and may not be copied or commercially reused without permission.
11. Availability and website information
We aim to keep FuneralTrade.ie available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation or that every listing will remain available. Maintenance, technical faults, security issues or circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect the service.
Marketplace information is supplied largely by third parties. Users should independently verify information that is important to a purchasing or business decision.
12. Third-party websites
FuneralTrade.ie may link to advertisers, suppliers, payment providers, social networks or other third-party websites. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or practices. Visiting an external website is at your own discretion and subject to that site's terms.
13. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FuneralTrade.ie will not be liable for losses arising from transactions or disputes between users, reliance on advertiser-supplied information, third-party products or services, or events outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, or affects rights that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Suspension and removal
We may remove adverts or profiles, restrict features, or suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, a listing creates a legal or security risk, payment is outstanding, or action is necessary to protect users or the website.
15. Privacy and cookies
Our handling of personal information is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Information about cookies and similar technologies is available in our Cookie Policy.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the website, our services or applicable requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the website after an update means the revised terms apply to subsequent use.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts, subject to any mandatory rights or jurisdiction available to consumers under applicable law.
